Sampo Bank to become Danske Bank

Sampo bank will adopt the name of its parent company, Danske Bank, at the end of the year, reports ERR.

The corporate group's subsidiaries will adopt the unified name in all of its countries of operation.

Sampo told that the name change will not be accompanied with any structural or managerial adjustments in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Sampo was acquired by the Danske Bank Group in 2007 and it was made a subsidiary in 2008.

Danske Bank is Denmark's largest banking group.
