Estonian PM: It’s all depending on price

PM Andrus Ansip said that the state may buy shares of Estonian Air, but might do the opposite and dispossess the shares – it’s all depending on price, delfi.ee reports.

“It’s possible on favourable conditions we may buy burdening shares from other shareholders,” Ansip said.

On the other hand it’s possible the state may sell its holding.

“It’s clear Estonia with its small holding hasn’t been very successful in Estonian Air,” Ansip said.

He stressed it’s important that flights would come to Tallinn, not whom the aviation company belongs to.

SAS letter will be discussed and answered in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications in couple of days, hopefully.

SO Ansip must be the dumbest dickhead in Europe just now.

Can you imagine what that will do for business?
Having your company discussed by the PM of a country....like what do passengers feel??
They don't know whether they should buy a ticket tomorrow or not??
Whether the company will fly you next week or not??
Whether you get your money back if they can't???

That way they deliberately bankrupt the company via the press, and SAS will jettison it like a plane drops our all its fuel before a hard landing or crash!!

These guys should be thrown out on their ears...what sort of competent management is that, and of an AIRLINE on top of it!!!

Ansip you are a complete and total asshole!!

And the other 50% of the shareholders in SAS will get Estonian Air for free :)

A rough back of the envelope calculation comparing the size of the companies in terms of the number of aircraft indicates Estonia should be given a 3% stake in SAS in exchange for the governments share of Estonian Air.

So Sweden, Denmark and Norway would have to dilute their stake in the following way:
Sweden: 21.4% - 20.0%
Denmark: 14.3% - 13.5%
Norway: 14.3% - 13.5%
Estonia: 0.0% - 3.0%
